The food at Shug’s is not only affordable, but delicious. There is a lot to choose from, including: appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. One of the best appetizers is the chicken wings. They come in many different flavors, and include a side of celery and your choice of ranch or bleu cheese dressing for dipping. All of the burgers are cooked to perfection on the grill. Another popular menu item is the seafood. You do not have to drive all the way to the beach to get fresh delectable seafood because it is served fresh daily at Shug’s Smokehouse Grill and Tavern. The desserts are mouth-watering. Some of the more popular desserts are the mile high mud pie and the authentic Carnegie Deli Cheesecake flown in from New York City.
The staff is well trained and experienced. From the managers to the busboys, all of the employees are friendly and attentive. The staff at Shug's strives to make everyone feel like a king. There is over 100 years of experience in the kitchen alone. I think you will find that Shug’s is the best restaurant in the Pee Dee because of the delicious food, friendly atmosphere, and superb employees. Are you hungry for the best food in the Pee Dee? The food is fresh; the atmosphere is laid back, comfortable and unique as well as a place where the workers are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I have got the place for you; Shug’s Smokehouse Grill and Tavern!
Shug’s atmosphere is fun and inviting. The inside is constructed from antique wood from an old cotton mill. The booths are wood and tin which give you a feeling that you are in an old timey setting. There is also seating in the Pole Barn, a screened in porch area with fire place in the back. The beach music sets the tune for a fun time and great meal.|
